Karl Bullock (WA5TMC), Delta Division Vice Director, speaks at the ARRL Forum titled "ARRL and Delta Division Happenings." Doug Campbell (N1CWR), Oak Ridge Amateur Radio Club President, presents a tribute to L.B. Cebik (W4RNL--SK) on the stage at the Knoxville Hamfest and Electronics Exposition/Delta Division Convention in Knoxville on June 14. L.B. Cebik was a world-famous authority on amateur radio antenna design and had published numerous books and articles on the subject. He was resident of Knoxville, past President of the Radio Amateur Club of Knoxville, and a Life Honorary Member of the East Tennessee DX Association. Dennis Dura (K2DCD), ARRL Emergency, Preparedness and Response Manager, from the League Headquarters spoke on emergency communications and other matters.

Lowell Bennington (WD4DSJ), Tennessee Section Emergency Coordinator, speaks and moderated the forum on "Emergency Communications" at the Knoxville Hamfest and Electronics Exposition/Delta Division Convention on Saturday, June 14. Dennis Dura (K2DCD), ARRL Emergency, Preparedness and Response Manager, from the League Headquarters spoke on emergency communications and other matters. Emily Bishop (WE4MB), Delta Division Assistant Director for Youth, speaks and moderated the third forum titled "Becoming a Ham and Youth in Amateur Radio."

The University of Tennessee Amateur Radio Club demonstrated and conducted a high altitude balloon launch at the Knoxville Hamfest and Electronics Exposition/Delta Division Convention on June 14. The club also presented a forum at the 2008 Dayton HamVention on the subject. Members of the club and their sponsors proudly pose after another successful launch. The crowd watching the launch look at the balloon as it quickly gains altitude. The balloon gains altitude before disappearing from view. The electronics payload, below the balloon, was designed and constructed by the students.

An outside vendor at the Knoxville Hamfest and Electronics Exposition/ARRL Delta Division Convention has lots of goodies for sale, including vacuum tubes.   The crowd visits the various Inside Dealers at the Knoxville Hamfest and Electronics Exposition/Delta Division Convention. This was the 42nd annual hamfest sponsored by the Radio Amateur Club of Knoxville.
